"health yes," I want to look good!
Did you ever think to yourself that you are a healthy eater?
I used to think to myself that I am making a difference in my body and in my life by not drinking soda to avoid sugar, by having less fats, and by not eating after 6p.m. I believed going to bed on an empty stomach makes me feel 10x lighter and somehow, this long gap between meals will help me stay fit.
All of these attempts to live healthy are actually accurate and they work. You will see good results. But to receive even better results, you have to hear out Teddy.
According to Teddy, this diet will not only help you lose weight, but it also helps your digestion work like a well-oiled factory, makes your immune system bulletproof, and helps you feel like yourself again, in general.
“Eliminate Dairy and gluten. And only have carbs on occasion…” That means no cheese and no wheat bread.
I remember one of my very first texts went something like this: “I’d choose wheat bread over white any day, because I like eating healthy.” Teddy’s response was, “Julie!!! You’re killing me.’’
LOL… from that day, I was informed on how to eat correctly. I couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to my Monterrey Jack cheese or my avocado sandwiches which were made with wheat bread. But since I liked this guy very much, I even taught myself to sacrifice.
I wasn’t fully giving up on my dairy or gluten. I was cheating on my diet and I felt guilty, which then had to follow with a confession text. Just so you know, Teddy didn’t force me to do anything. Instead, he advised and I followed. Later, I even got my entire family hooked on coconut milk, on dairy free mayo, and gluten free cereal.
Here are some helpful substituting hacks:
-Substitute dairy with coconut, almond, or cashew milk. The majority of conventional dairy in our country comes from sick cows that are essentially on their deathbeds. It’s heavily processed, inflammatory and void of probiotics.
-Substitute corn or vegetable oil with avocado oil or coconut oil. Vegetable oils are very high in Omega 6 fatty acids, which seriously raises inflammation in the body.
-Substitute sugar with honey. Honey is a natural sweetener that also has antibacterial properties.
-Substitute carbs with healthy fats. 70% of our brains is fat, Vitamins A, D, E, K are fat-soluble, and every hormone in the body is made from fats! Eating healthy fats will also help with weight-loss.
-Substitute processed foods with whole foods. The less ingredients, the better. Anything that comes from a box, can, or package is off-limits.
