Hello there,
I am due any day now! Please keep me in your prayers. 39 weeks, 3 days along and no signs of labor yet. Mentally, I am more than ready to meet our little daughter. The swollen feet and the constant pelvic pain is a reminder that our time is near. I still feel like I'm running out of patience here, though. Since a lot of my family members are praying to meet our little one sooner than expected, I should be prepared. They’re all very Godly people.. You can’t mess with that.
Due to a few DMs that were addressed toward my hospital bag, I’ve decided to share the goodness with my amazing readers. Honestly, there is nothing really advanced about the way I packed my hospital bag. That is simply because I am doing this for the first time in my life. Therefore, I’ve reached out to Pinterest for some help. Let’s see what we’ve got here!
For baby’s bag:
Since my “dream diaper bag” hasn’t been discovered by me yet, I will be using my “dream duffel bag”. The quality leather and the excellent space of the duffel bag that we’ve purchased off Amazon truly is satisfying. This bag is the perfect size to pack my daughter’s endless list of essentials. This bag is also the perfect size to be used as a carry-on when traveling abroad.
- Hospital bag (down below)
4 swaddles (can’t link the swaddles because they’re all handmade by my wonderful mother-in-law)
1 receiving blanket
5 onesies (just in case we have a messy one)
2 hats (handmade as well)
2 burp cloths (handmade as well)
2 bandana bibs (handmade as well)
Pacifier
Pacifier clip (handmade)
Warm blanket (handmade as well)
Going home outfit
10 diapers (is this even enough?)
For mommy’s bag:
For additional convenience, Teddy and I packed both of our things into one carry-on luggage on wheels. Most of the things fit except the snacks. We had to stock up on snacks because of Teddy’s super healthy lifestyle. And of course, I prefer our “chosen” snacks instead of hospital snacks. Our snacks will be listed on the bottom of the page.
Warm socks
Sweatshirt
Hair brush
Shampoo and dry shampoo
Nipple cream and pads
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Cotton briefs
Phone charger
Snacks
Gift for the midwife
Going home outfit (I chose an easy-going jumpsuit by PinkBlush as my going home outfit. There is nothing more satisfying than throwing on something cute and light before heading out (especially from the hospital). I know for a fact that I won't regret making this decision. I already practically live in any maternity jumpsuit.
For daddy’s bag:
Warm blanket
Warm socks
Change of clothes
Deodorant
Toothpaste and toothbrush
Phone charger
Cash
Snack bag:
- tea
- protein bars
- paleo chips
- vegan dark chocolate bars
- gluten free crackers
- nuts
